Priyachu and Logie’s Canada Day

ok so this post is overdo. what do you want from me!! i have no consistent access to internet!

so logan and i had to work on canada day this year.. till 12 am.

that sucked. but after we went out and had what i would call a series of priyaandlogan moments. cuz priya and logan do stupid, hillarious, childish things.

we were sad cuz we worked on canada day. I made a frisbee and we ordered pizza to improve our day

Pizza!!! and I MADE a frisbee. (see left hand)

we did cartwheels in the parkinglot at 12 am!

and climbed things!!!

then…. WE TOTALLY WENT TO PARKS AND PLAYED ON THE PLAYSTRUCTURES CUZ WE R AWESOME.

eep..the sand at the bottom of the slide that i didn’t notice till it was too late..and there was no turning back.

we wrote stuff inthe sand. logan wrote this.. i just wrote profanities:

“penis” “biatch”

lgoan getting stuck in the kiddie slide. HAH.

me.. as a hobo

after that we lingered around places..met creepy drunk peoplpe and some guy who had a canada flag cape on with mysterious bloodstains on it = /

THEN…

we drove up to one of those road works pilons in bhaven.

stole it.

transported it in logans car.

and left it on devons front door step.

end!

Canada Day 08

Arrived downtown at around 2:00 with Eric, met up with Jeanne, Jane, Rebecca, and Tianyi …

Busing home was TERRIBLE. I surprisingly managed to get on one by around 12:15 or so. Went home. Transferred photos before sleeping. Ahhhh … we sung Oh Canada on our bus. Haha. It was pretty great. Very close quarters. Shudder.

OH. DEFINITELY THE GROSSEST MOMENT WAS BUMPING INTO THIS GUY WHOSE ARM “STUCK TO” AND “PEELED” OFF OF ME, to put it in gross terms. I did not enjoy that. Thank god it only lasted like … 5seconds. Still, I was scarred.

Surprisingly, I Quite Enjoyed my Graduation

’2008 Spring Convocation’ was at Scotiabank place today and it wasn’t all that bad.

Got there just around 2:00, walked in with my blue ‘backstage pass’ type-thing and got hooked up with a gown and v-thing. Then walked to my ‘corral’ and lined up with most of the people from my class. We all stood, waiting for an hour. It got VERY hot. The gowns they give you are not all that breathable and combined with the sheer number of grads — yeesh — it got hot.

OH. I WORE JEANS. Part of me thought it was a bad idea, another part thought it didn’t matter because of the gown, and another part thought “heh, screw this. it’s an algonquin grad ceremony”. I WASN’T THE ONLY ONE. And I think I beat some of the people wearing shorts and flipflops.

Eventually we were ushered out onto the floor of the Scotiabank place, where there were a lot of chairs and what-not set up. All the family peoples were sitting in the stands. Hah. Ceremonies begin, end, blah blah blah.

  1. UM. First of all: where were all my teachers? Every other program had at least 3 of their teachers behind the president to shake hands and what-not. Ours had NO ONE. That was actually quite disappointing because some of my teachers were really awesome.
  2. Overall the ceremonies were boring and tacky.
“Mr President I verify that all of these graduates have met the requirements of their programs. I present to you, the 2008 School of Multimedia and Design … ” … well, yeah, no kidding. Redundant formality.
  3. PEOPLE’S NAMES. Omg there was a guy named “John Smith” and someone else named ” .. Weiner”. There was one guy whose name was mispronounced and it caught him off guard so much that he turned around and started to turn back before realizing that there was nothing he could do.
  4. PEOPLE’S RELATIVES. HAHAH. All applause was supposed to be held until everyone crossed the stage, so you’d get individual families/friends cheering for people as they crossed the stage. I wish I remembered some of the good ones better. They’re kind of hard to convey in writing, but there were quite a few “THAT’S MY WIFE”, some very unenthusiastic “WOOOs”, there was one “Boooo”, a couple high pitched screams, little kids yelling “yay mommy” (and subsequent “Awwwwws” from the crowd). It was just hilarious hearing someone’s name, followed by one person yelling things like “YAH SHARON. YOU GO GIRL”

After returning gowns and stuff it was just chaos outside of scotiabank place so I didn’t really see many of my classmates. Hah. It’s not a huge deal, though. The ones I’m friends with I’ll see again in the near future, the rest? Well … whatevs?

Came back to my place with a swarm of relatives, drank, ate, had some cake, etc.

I’m terribly screwed for something I need to have done at work tomorrow. But uh. Whatever. WAS A GOOD DAY.
