There are these people that live … hmm … maybe 4-5 houses down and they have this dog. A dog who they seem to completely ignore or they’re just trying tough-love on the thing. Either way, at around 1:30 last night they put their dog out (I dunno, I was sleeping). But then it must have seen a rabbit or something, so it started barking.

What would you do if it’s late and your dog is barking outside? I’d bring it inside. These people? “Nah, let’s just let it bark outside for 20 minutes”.

What’s it doing right now? It’s whining to get back inside. We’re at about 10 minutes at the moment of listening to a dog whine and yelp, occasionally scratching at their screen door. It’s so unbelievably irritating. I just want to obliterate that little beast of a dog, because after you hear its barking EVERY day — you begin to go a little crazy.

There’s also a cat.
I don’t know who it belongs to but I swear I have wanted to run out of my house and punt this stupid thing because it has the loudest, most piercing, annoying meow ever. That means it wakes me up. The owners of this thing must be able to sleep through it or something, so it’ll walk around and meow for up to about half an hour, stop, repeat, stop, repeat.

(The dog is still whining outside, btw)

Don’t even get me started on the neighbour who thought it was a good idea to use an electric saw at 9am on a Sunday. Okay, that’s not ‘outrageous’ … but it’s a bit early … come on.

(The dog is now barking at something)

People suck.

I took a 111 to Merivale and Viewmount last night, and while walking on the sidewalk — across from the Merivale arena I started a feral dog or a wolf or something. It seemed greyish and it had an unusually bushy tail (which after seeing this image confirms my suspicion). Aha, as soon as it saw me it freaked out and turned around. However, for a while it was walking parallel to me (it was a pretty considerable distance away) until it turned around and headed deeper into the field. ÂÂ

My trek home was not complete without seeing 4 rabbits and an Owl that flew over me. The Owl was like the icing on the cake. FYI: you’ll be eaten by owls, wolves, and rabbits if you’re near Merivale at around 11:30.

My night:

*Go to sleep at 11:30*

*Our cat wakes me up to go outside at 2:30*

*at 3:30 another cat is outside meowing. thinking it’s mine I open the back door and see nothing, go back to sleep*

*at 4:00, before I’ve even fallen asleep again the incessant meowing returns. It seems louder than before and I look out my window to investigate. Sure enough, there is someone else’s cat sitting on our back step — meowing.*

*I go downstairs and open the back door (not the screen door) and it runs away. I wait a minute or two to see it coming back and then open the screen door. This prompts it to jump the fence and leave*

*at 4:30-5:00 I hear it meowing, this time at someone else’s door. Another back door creaks open, but it’s not near the meowing.*

*at 6:00 I hear a door open and the meowing stops*

Grr … …

This bloody cat was like the bloody scream in my dream from yesterday’s post; It was so god damn loud and annoying. It’s bad enough when it’s your cat waking you up to go in/come outside most nights — but when it’s someone else’s cat meowing at your door, keeping you up for several hours … GRRR.

Nights like that make mornings so much more difficult …

However, we were missing mice …

Indeed! There was a mouse in our house this morning. We can’t figure out if the cat brought it in, or if it got into the house. On one hand, it looks like it was quite the baby of a mouse, so it might’ve fit in the cat’s mouth easily … on the other hand … it might be young enough to assume that there is a mommy mouse in our basement. Ack.

So as some of you may know, i went camping with my co-workers from VV! We went to Murphy’s Point… like an hour and half or 2 out of Ottawa. (in the direction of carleton place)

We were supposed to go for 3 days… monday, tuesday and wednesday… but we had quite … uhh… i don’t know how to put it…

read on!

so yes.

we got there at about 1pm on monday afternoon.. it was nice… we set up camp and just chilled around the fire that we had going and we talked and what not. i had my guitar going, so we had a couple sing alongs.. which was fun too.. aha

anyways… after dinner, as it got dark… we started noticing 2 or 3 raccoons that would like.. wander closer and closer to us… and they weren’t afraid of us at all.. like.. they were coming like.. right up to us.. and climbing up the van and stuff… like WTF…

at one point, we started throwing the football at them.. like HARD.. and they would just like.. get out of the way, and come back… after a while, we just left them…

later, after cleaning up the camp site, we all went to bed at like 12:30… and then the raccoons came back… with reinforcements…Â when i say that there were 20 raccoons walking around my tent, i do not exaggerate.

there you can see 10 … with their creepy little glowing eyes…

the green thing on the left, is my tent.

like.. WTF. .. they would make all these weird noises too.. like hisses and growls.. it was SO CREEPY.. and they’d like… claw at our tents…

anyways… i ended up sleeping in a van… after like.. 4 hours of fighting with them..

i fell asleep at like 4 … and then woke up again at like 8…. and yeah.. that was my lovely night of sleeping…

the next morning, we decided that it wasn’t fun.. and we decided to leave a day early..

we hung out around the beach and stuff… but yeah.. we left fairly early.. and yeah…

the first day, and the time spent there on day2 was fun… but yeah.. i wasn’t goign to through another night of ‘fun’…

I HATE RACCOONS

I was looking through my old sketchbook for something, when I came across this beauty:

AHAHAHA. I remember printing that off … almost a year ago … or less. I don’t know, the sledgehammer of age has … sledged … me. Anyway, wouldn’t it be great if these things spat acid? I think anything that spits acid is great.

Anyway, I have upgraded WordPress to the latest and greatest version. You’ll notice that posting and uploading is every so slightly different, but in a good way! There is a spell-checking feature, which I totally expect to go unused, but it’s there if you want to use it! OH: If you give your post a title and start typing, it will auto-save. Yes. I know. Oh your god.

Oh yes. I’m guilty of this (because I’m omnipotent when it comes to Bloog matters) … but I’ve overhauled the categories, should you be interested. There were like … a lot … of them before. Now it’s reduced to BARELY using the scrollbar. It was so difficult to do that, especially since 755 posts are now categorized as “Whatever”. Yikes.
