Apparently there are “worldwide” connection problems with MSN … perhaps they are updating something. So, I have to find another way to distract myself from studying — it’s really only a detriment to me (not studying) so I don’t know why I keep distracting myself from it.

The studying in question is English and I suppose one of the reasons for not studying like an ox (?) is because we have a sight passage and an essay on our exam. One you need to know general terms; not much else can be done to prepare for the that portion. The same can be said for the essay — with a twist — the topics covered (Brave New World, Macbeth, Cantebury Tales/Short Stories) must be known to complete the essay … and knowing specific quotes isn’t necessary … so how many times can you read over your notes? Yes I know, I can read over them 20 times … bah, ok … i’ll stop now. I can hear the rants now.

Onto better, far less important, but amusing things: I AM GOING TO RUN THE 10 Km THING AGAIN IN MARCH WITH MIKE. ARE THERE ANY OTHER JOINERS? (*cough* JANE *cough*). I’d say Zarish too, but she’s likely already going to be running it with her fancy fitness class. Aha… yes, I think we’ve agreed to start running (outside) no later than <ins>April, 15</ins>.
Join team MUCK*

Addendum:
* MUCK is a running team, not a SSMB team … combination of TEAM MIKE and TEAM SUCK, not what you were thinking.)

Running tomorrow.
X-C Meet #2
I don’t know how it will take the whole day and am some-what annoyed that it will be so long. I am not doing the greatest in physics and macbeth— gah; I will be missing a whole act. Which is definately not a good thing (or is it?)
– I can listen to people read (z_zz)and the teacher talk about it (helpful) for 75 minutes while answering questions
— Missing it results in a gaping hole in my knowledge of the play since, maybe it’s just me, Macbeth seems much different to read than the other two plays. Perhaps I am not yet used to Shakespeare-writing but yah my undrestanding while reading is below where it should be. (bad)

Anyway. For 40 minutes of running… hmm… 9° high tomorrow. It’s better than our last practise (IT WAS 4° AGH! I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT… GRAR.)

111 is the bus to take. I think I am meating tyiani, jade and others first thing in the morning… that’s the best thing to do because I don’t quite know where I am going (other than taking the 111 and getting off near hogsback).

I’ve seen a few movies lately and since bloog has been rather lifeless (compared to the summer) might as well post about them:
<ins>The Day After Tomorrow</ins> — A pretty good movie. Nice visuals, blah plot and there were times when I just questioned why the characters did some of things they did.
It finally happened though, a reporter was hit by a sign while reporting on a storm. Havent we all just been waiting for the day when your watching the weather network/any news network with a weather person standing in the middle of a hurricane or some sort of storm– you’re waiting and waiting but no, that tree never does come from no-where to drag the fellow away.
A bit of a spoiler…
Essentially the planet is ruined by silly humanity and freak storms/odd weather patterns begin to affect the planet (IN CLUDING STRANGE HURRICANE-LIKE STORMS WHICH SUCK FREEZING AIR FROM THE ATMOSPHERE)Blah, blah. Long story short most of the northern hemisphere is covered with ice (Canada never had a chance) and all of the Americans living in the southern portion of the country end up living in Mexico (of course the U.S. said “hey! we will forget about the debt you owe us!”).

<ins>Van Helsing</ins> — I expected more from this movie. I thought the character of Van Helsing was O.K. I just found something a little “off” about him.
I found the movie to be a bit lacking and quite predictable (almost too much).
Again, nice visuals.
The character of Dracula and his mistresses to be very, very odd. Of course they are vampires (who procreate muchlots it would seem) and aren’t all vampires in movies just a little off? If they were normal they wouldn’t be quite right… [heh. where was i going with that]
I had a feeling of emptiness at the end of the movie.
It wasn’t my “cup of tea”.
There were also strange plot holes,
[SPOLIER] how can you animate strange mini-vampires from electricity flowing through someone? Ugh? Yah, I know it’s a movie but still… then there were those little minions… aside from a brief talk about them being minions we know virtually nothing about them! There was something else… hmm.

Wow. I have never hated something more than I have right now.
Personal Responses.
It’s definately NOT a hard thing to do… it’s just the particular topic we have to do it on. It’s bloody pissing me off because I can’t think of ANY support for it and it’s extremely frustrating.

More illegibility out the window:

GRAR
I AM FAKING IT. GRR. NOW I AM TOTALLY NOT REPRESENTING MY OPINION ON tHE MATERR. IT’S BECAUSE I HAVE NO GOD DAMN OPINION. I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT PHYSICAL/INTERNAL BEAUTY AND THEIR RELATION.
GAH
GAH
.settle.
*settles*

Ok. I’ve come up with 2 paragraphs now. One of theM off topic. x_o!!!!! IDN”T I DON”T CAREE ANYMORE.

Ben Believes:

Huxley believes that there are “numerous forms of psychological ugliness” such as stupidity, greed, and unawareness. In these cases, the “ugly” qualities do not necessarily influence physical beauty, i.e. you could be a physically attractive, but greedy person who is viewed as ugly by those who dislike greed or an attractive person despite any greed that you may possess. Paris Hilton is an example of someone who is deemed beautiful by some, and termed an “idiot” or worse by others; despite being “unaware” at times, she is still seen as beautiful.

I want to make a t-shirt that says “Newton Makes Me Hot” and distribute it to all the physics teachers.
WELL OFF TOPIC.

There is another side to that argument, however. In the long term, physical beauty is only temporary; inevitably, skin will wrinkle and one’s appearance will change dramatically. In this case one’s inner beauty and outer beauty might have a greater connection (because looks might depend less on beauty and more on personality) and a callous, greedy, older woman may look less attractive to a man of comparable age than a nice, benevolent, cheery, older woman. An old man used to live near

Not complete. How do I relate this to my life or observations… or not. Brilliant ben, make up a life.
MWHAH
FERNANDEZ IS MY NAME AND MAKING SANDPAPER IS MY GAME!

HATE HATE HATE. DIE DIE. STAB STAB.
You can’t have manslaughter without laughter! AHAHAHA!!!1
